DISCONNECTING AFTER DOWNLOAD WITH HYPERTERMINAL

If you are using Zmodem with HyperTerminal which originally comes with Windows 95, there may be a problem with disconnection after a download. This is caused by HyperTerminal sending out an extra carriage return at the end of the download, causing the modem to disconnect. This is a problem with HyperTerminal, not Lynx. There is a freeware version available that seems to correct the problem, as well as providing an automatic re-dial.

HyperTerminal Private Edition can be downloaded from its home site or from the CCN Public Download Area. The documentation for HyperTerminal can be found here.
